Changing the conversation where you play golf.
At Links Players, we help men and women change the conversation at their clubs and courses where they play golf—from surface to substance, me to others, and temporal to eternal.
This happens through a ministry of presence, where a Links Fellowship allows participants to explore the life and words of Jesus Christ through examination of the Scriptures, to pray together in support of each other’s walk of faith, and to reach out to those in their club who need the heart change that salvation in Jesus produces.

The year is 2056, and at age 43,
Paul “ProV” Player has lost his way.
His dreams of being a star on the PGA tour are gone. His ex-wives and two kids don’t much like him. He has run out of money and friends. Except one man, Lucas Friend, who invites “ProV” to Scotland for his first experience with links golf.
So off the twosome go, in search of a treasure at the greatest golf course in the world, if they can find it in the Orkney Islands. Is it all a dream or is it real? And if it is, can his new discoveries be real enough to take back to California, to change his life, to mend his broken relationships, to find Wisdom? Come. Follow these golf pilgrims into a future that might show you how good life can be.
I Love to tell the Story
These words from an old hymn describe my mission for the last chapter of life. Like most people, I have accumulated hundreds of stories over my lifetime. Many of them point to Jesus, but some are just plain funny.
God told Moses, “Tell your children and grandchildren… the stories… so that you’ll know that I am God.” (Exodus 10:2 MSG). Hebrews tells us, “When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item... That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!” (Hebrews 12:3 MSG). Micah told us to “keep all God’s salvation stories fresh and present.” (Micah 6:3 MSG).
In 1959, Ford Philpot brought every ounce of his down-home, tent-revival charm to television’s fertile ground and became the first true TV evangelist, telling The Story of Jesus to every household with a screen and a pair of dusty rabbit ears. But once the cameras stopped rolling, Ford knew just where he would go next: the golf course.
In this delightful memoir of his father, Ford’s son Tim spins tales of the man’s sometimes profound, sometimes contradictory life. Ford’s Wonderful World is full of humor, honesty, and deep appreciation.
